The Mayor of Weymouth, Councillor Jon Orrell, is hosting a Charity Fundraising Event, to be held on Friday 2nd May 2025 at The Centenary Club, Weymouth. The evening will start at 7.30pm, (doors open at 7pm) and will include musical entertainment from The Omega Project, a 9-piece band featuring the Mayor of Weymouth on saxophone.
Songs will include tracks from The Blues Brothers, Stevie Wonder, Sting, 10cc, Adele, Amy Winehouse, the Bee Gees, and more!
All proceeds from the sale of admission tickets will be donated to the Mayor’s chosen charity which, for this civic year, is The Lantern Trust.
The Mayor would be delighted if you are able to attend this event. Tickets are £7.50 per person and can be purchased by contacting Niki Ayles, Civic & Democratic Officer at mayor@weymouthtowncouncil.gov.uk. Please note that tickets are limited and will be sold on a first come first served basis.
The bar will be open, selling a variety of alcoholic and soft drinks, and simple snacks, such as packets of crisps, peanuts etc. Guests are welcome to bring their own snacks, but are asked to purchase drinks from the bar.
In addition to funds raised by ticket sales, the Mayor will be raising funds for his chosen charity by holding a raffle.
