Dorset Echo August 2024 from Peter Jarvis
I am writing to express my appreciation for the Friends of Greenhill Gardens (FOGG) and the wonderful work they do to maintain and enhance one of Weymouth’s most enchanting and attractive attractions.
Greenhill Gardens truly is a delight to visit, offering a serene escape from the troubles of this world for residents and visitors alike. Throughout the summer, the gardens break into life with amazing floral displays and a variety of entertainment that caters for all ages bringing much needed joy and community spirit to our delightful town.
Just last Sunday my wife and I had the pleasure of attending a performance by local group The Originals. Their music spanning from the 1950’s and beyond, provided a magnificent backdrop for a winsome afternoon in the gardens.
A heartfelt thank you to the Friends of Greenhill Gardens for all your hard work and dedication for your unstinting efforts not only to preserve the beauty and allurement of the gardens but also create memorable and everlasting experiences for all who visit. Let’s continue to support this invaluable and irreplaceable resource and celebrate all it has to offer.
